BLUEPRINT Milestone: 9:30 a.m. The Westchester County Association, a business membership organization, will announce a major milestone in the efforts of its BLUEPRINT for Westchester economic development initiative. This multimillion dollar, multiyear campaign is designed to spur growth for early-stage companies, thereby creating more jobs in Westchester County. 150 Grand St., third floor.
Tuesday, Jan. 29
Job Club: 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Career counselors Ginny Ruder and Rose Macom will talk about writing resumes and cover letters, preparing for an interview and using the Internet and social media. They will also help participants use the White Plains Library’s resources to conduct a job search and offer tips on developing a strong professional network. White Plains Library, 100 Martine Ave.

Get Out of Credit Card Debt: 7 p.m.-8 p.m. Learn about options available when you are faced with overwhelming credit card debt. Explore the pros and cons of working with a nonprofit credit counseling agency, payment plans offered by credit card companies and effective strategies for handling debt on your own. Introduction to Microsoft Word 2007: 7:30 p.m.-8:45 p.m. Learn how to create a simple letter using Microsoft Word, one of the most popular word processing programs.
