What To Do In White Plains This Weekend

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – A local production of “The Color Purple,” a GED class and an afternoon tea to benefit Pets Alive Westchester are a few of the events happening in White Plains this weekend.

Friday, Feb. 22

“The Color Purple”: 8 p.m. The White Plains Performing Arts Center will put on a production of “The Color Purple” at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Saturday, Feb. 23

Saturday GED Class: 10 a.m. to noon. Get ready to take the GED test in this drop in class for adults, ages 16 and up. Space is limited. First come, first served. White Plains Library, 100 Martine Ave.

Music Remix: 2:30 to 4 p.m. Participants will take workshops on hip-hop history, rap and production foundation, entrepreneurship and performance confidence. They will demonstrate what they have done in these workshops in a final presentation. Registration is required and can be done online. White Plains Library, 100 Martine Ave.

Sunday, Feb. 24
