WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Deputy County Executive Kevin Plunkett and Cora Greenberg, executive director of the Westchester Children’s Association and chair of the Campaign for Kids, recently announced the formation of a new Youth Services Planning Group at the Westchester County "Celebrate Youth" Rally.
“The new planning process will help Westchester County allocate tax dollars to effective, high-quality programs that meet the greatest needs of our county’s young people,” said Plunkett in a press release.
“WCA and the Campaign for Kids look forward to working with the County Administration, the Board of Legislators and other stakeholders to achieve common goals in a fair, transparent and responsible way," said Greenberg in a press release.
The group will review, evaluate and make recommendations to improve the process of assessing the needs of youth, awarding contracts and setting funding priorities.
More than 150 young people, parents, staff and friends gathered on the plaza in front of the Westchester County Courthouse for the rally July 22.
