Westchester County Parks Offering Fun-Filled Weekend

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. – Westchester County parks and nature centers will keep residents busy the weekend of July 31 through Aug. 2 with art shows, music and photography.

Friday, July 31:

Big Band on the Boardwalk at Playland Park in Rye

The Milt Gerver Orchestra and vocalists perform from 7:30-9:30 p.m.; another show will take place Friday, Aug. 7

Friday Night Fireworks

A fireworks display choreographed to music will start at 9:15 p.m. Parking fees apply.

Saturday, Aug. 1:

Butterfly and Dragonfly Photography

From 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Lenoir Preserve, Dudley Street, Yonkers. Bring a camera and learn great tips for taking photos of these quick-moving insects. Call (914) 968-5851 for more information.
