WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Westchester County Nature Centers have announced weekend events for Nov. 22.

A rundown of events is below. 

Trailside Nature Museum at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, Cross River – (914) 864-7322 The Lenape of Westchester – 10 a.m. Children can learn about the everyday lives of the native Lenape people by examining their food, tools and toys. Cranberry Lake Preserve, Old Orchard Street, North White Plains – (914) 428-1005 Nature Scavenger Hunt – 1 p.m. Pick up a list and search for natural items around the preserve. Read Wildlife Sanctuary, Playland Park, 1 Playland Parkway, Rye – (914) 967-8720 Sound Stories: Lore and History of Long Island Sound – 1 p.m. Join storyteller Jonathan Kruk for the history of Long Island Sound as told through his treasury of lively tales. Marshlands Conservancy, Route 1, Rye – (914) 835-4466. Volunteer Work Project: Clearing Historic Stone Walls – Part 2 – 1-3 p.m. Bring work gloves; hand tools provided.
