WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – A work session on the city budget, a tribute show to the Beatles and a business trade show event are a few of the events happening in White Plains this week.

City Budget Workshop : 6 p.m. Monday. The Common Council will meet with the city public works department to review its expenses. This is one of three work sessions it will hold as it considers the proposed 2013-14 budget , which would hike the tax rate 4.2 percent. Homeowners with a median assessed valuation of $13,400 would pay $104 more than last year under this proposal.City Hall, 255 Main St.

Startupalooza : 6 to 9:30 p.m. Friday. The trade show gives people with a business idea chance to apply to pitch their ideas to a panel of professionals and entrepreneurs. Those who pitch their ideas will have a chance to win support for starting a business, including a logo designed by the Digital Arts Experience’s creative team. Experience Beatles With Rain : 8 p.m. Friday. This tribute show to the music of the Beatles has been performed on Broadway and in Las Vegas. It comes to the Westchester County Center as part of The Pepe Infiniti Concert Series. There is free parking in the County Center's west lot in front of the building.
