Friday, Jan 25, 2013 - Saturday, Jan 26, 2013 at 7:30pm

The Play Group Theatre (PGT)

One North Broadway, White Plains, NY 10601

Written, directed and performed by Elizardi Castro, Made in Puerto Rico has sold out over 100 performances in cities including Chicago, Orlando and New Haven. Touted as ‘Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Spanglish,’ this one-man show delivers a unique opportunity to experience the bold and captivating humor of Elizardi Castro. By sharing stories about his childhood, his career as an attorney, and his family, Made in Puerto Rico allows audiences of all heritages and nationalities the opportunity to laugh at themselves. Made in Puerto Rico is Castro’s commentary on the ‘Spanglish’ culture and the universal struggle of being removed from and longing to return to the native homeland. For Castro, the show is his chance to teach his son about being Puerto Rican and having Puerto Rico raised within and around him. Perfectly described as “an innovative performer who finds inspiration… to create stories of culture and identity…” by the Northwest Indiana Times, Elizardi will masterfully tell his story with energy and love.
