Cambridge Pedestrian Hit, Dragged By Car Hospitalized With Serious Injuries: Police

A pedestrian who suffered through a serious car accident had the relative good luck of getting hit directly in front of a fire department, according to officials.

A person in their 40s, believed to be male, was struck by a vehicle while walking in a cross walk in the area of Cambridge Street, near Third and Second Streets, in the evening of Wednesday, March 29, the Cambridge Police Department confirmed to Daily Voice. 

The driver was taking a left turn on to to Cambridge Street when they hit the pedestrian, dragging the victim several feet in the process. 

The victim was extracted by Cambridge firefighters and transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The injured person is now in stable condition, officials say. 

The incident is under investigation to determine if citations will be issued.
