The event runs from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the café and bakery at 1 N. Broadway.

A portion of the proceeds from sales will go to help the shelter, which was founded in 1974 and which promotes both adoptions and fostering.

A program of Pet Rescue, the group uses donations to sponsor behavioral training and evaluation programs for dogs, purchase beds for kennels, promote adoptions, help with vet care, and provide treats and toys for both feline and canine shelter residents.

All donations are tax deductible.

Folks who want to participate in the fundraiser must present a printed or electronic version of a flier that was distributed by the shelter, according to the café.

The flier is also available on the shelter’s Facebook page by clicking here.
