Pace Law Presents Symposium Of Student Animal Legal Defense Fund

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Pace Law School will be hosting the first regional symposium of the New York area Student Animal Legal Defense Fund (SALDF) chapters on Saturday, April 18.

The symposium is presented by the SALDF chapters of Pace Law School, CUNY School of Law, Columbia Law School, Brooklyn Law School and NYU School of Law.  It is sponsored by the Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF). 

The main topic of this first regional symposium is Ag-Gag laws and Factory Farming.  There will also be many panels related to various aspects of this topic.  In addition, there will be a panel on timely and relevant topics including presentations about carriage horses. 

Remarks will be made by individuals from Friends of Animals, Pace Law School, The Sustainability Institute at Molloy College, Open the Cages Alliance, Farm Sanctuary, Animal Legal Defense Fund, World Animal Protection, the ASPCA, and more.

SALDF chapters are law student groups affiliated with ALDF.  SALDF chapters share the mission of ALDF to “protect the lives and advance the interests of animals through the legal system.” .
