Northern Westchester, Putnam Synagogues Observe Kesher Tisha B'av

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- A Kesher Tisha B'av Observance Service will be held at the First Hebrew Congregation in Peekskill on Saturday.

Synagogues from Northern Westchester and Putnam Valley will join together to commemorate the destruction of the First and Second Temples and other atrocities which befell the Jewish People.

Synagogues from Northern Westchester and Putnam Valley will join together to commemorate the destruction of the First and Second Temples and other atrocities which befell the Jewish people.

The evening, which begins at 8:30 p.m., will include a service and Havdalah, a period of learning and chanting of "Eicha"-- the Book of Lamentations. All texts will be provided in English and in Hebrew.
