Lineup Announced For Winter Wonderland In Valhalla

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Westchester’s Winter Wonderland at Kensico Dam Plaza is continuing to brighten the holidays.

“Bundle up and head to Westchester’s Winter Wonderland to dazzle your kids and celebrate the season,” said Joe Stout, executive director of Friends of Westchester County Parks, which sponsors the festivities. “We are thrilled to announce a lineup of holiday entertainment and performers that will transform this truly enchanting evening of fun for family and friends into a memorable tradition.”

The White Plains Recreation & Parks Forever Young Singers will perform on Sunday, Dec. 14, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., and an ice sculpting demonstration will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Dickens Carolers will perform on Saturday, Dec. 20, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Miss Westchester and Miss Westchester Teen will skate with the public from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Another ice sculpture demonstration is set for 7 p.m. Penny Lane Dance Academy will perform on Sunday, Dec. 21, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and the Miz Liz Strolling Entertainer will perform from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Chordsmen, a quartet from the Westchester Chordsmen, will play holiday songs from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Winter Wonderland is illuminated by more than 2.5 million LED lights in a continuous one-hour light show set to holiday music. It features an outdoor ice skating rink as well as a holiday shopping tent offering items such as jewelry and handmade gifts.

Photos with Santa Claus and the light show are free.

A heated dining tent offers food from eateries such as Annie’s Truck, Dobbs Dawg House and LobsterCraft. Captain Lawrence Brewery and Prospero Winery beverages are available to guests ages 21 and over. Tickets for Winter Wonderland are $10 each and free for children ages 3 and younger.
