Over the course of just five hours, crew members responded to two multi-vehicle accidents, a brush fire that covered more than an acre of land and three EMS calls.

Volunteers assisted a motorist that was struck on the side and flipped their SUV in Heritage Hills, leaving the other car disabled with extensive front-end damage. Later, with an assist from fire crews out of Croton Falls and Golden’s Bridge, they were able to knock down and ultimately extinguish the large brush fire in a heavily wooded area in town.

No injuries were reported during the busy stretch.
