“An Inconvenient Sequel,” the follow-up to the Academy Award winning film “An Inconvenient Truth," will be held at 7:15 p.m. with the panel at 9 pm at the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville.

The panel “Environmental Activism in Elections in the Age of Trump” also features Karenna Gore, Director of the Center for Earth Ethics Union Theological Seminary, Paul Gallay, President of Riverkeeper, Inc., Manna Jo Greene, Ulster County Legislator and Environmental Action Director for Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, and Michael Shank, Director of Communications for the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network.

Nancy Vann will lead a discussion on the urgent need for activism and political engagement.

"Every wasted month brings us closure to a point of no return for both our climate and for our local environment," she said.

"Indian Point will be closing and elected officials will be making many of the vital decisions.

"We can't afford to let those issues be decided by climate change deniers and a county legislator who prefers to file a lawsuit instead of educating himself on the questions about plant safety, retaining the current workers, and replacing revenues our schools and communities will be losing.”
