The arrest was the result of a six-month investigation into 27-year-old Marvin Gaspar of North Water Street, who police had learned was dealing drugs from his home, according to Greenwich Time. They conducted surveillance and obtained a search-and-seizure warrant, which they executed on Wednesday, Greenwich Time reported.
Inside Gaspar's home, they found numerous Xanax pills, as well as a small amount of marijuana, police told Greenwich Time. They also found the sawed-off shotgun and ammunition in his bedroom, as well as a digital scale and packaging material, according to Greenwich Time.
Gaspar was charged with operating a drug factory, possession of a sawed-off shotgun, illegal sale of prescription drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, sale of drugs near a school and illegal possession of marijuana, Greenwich Time reported. He was held on a $100,000 bond and given a court date of Oct. 18, according to Greenwich Time.
