Police: Bridgeport Man Shot 10 Times Outside His Home

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A 43-year-old Bridgeport man survived after he was shot 10 times outside his home on Dover Street on Wednesday night, police said.

At about 8:45 p.m., another man approached the victim, who was outside his home at 224 Dover St., and began firing, said at statement from police Capt. Roderick Porter.

The victim retreated inside his home, but his assailant gave chase and continued firing, striking the victim 10 times, Porter said. 

The victim was conscious when taken to Bridgeport Hospital, where his condition was called stable, police said. 

The suspect was described as a 6-foot-1 black male with a medium build and wearing a black hoodie covering his face.
