Man, 23, Caught With Items Stolen From Vehicles, Wappinger State Police Say

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- State police from the Wappinger barracks have apprehended a 23-year-old Poughkeepsie man that they say was in possession of items stolen from vehicles.

An investigation revealed that Christopher T. Fidelman was in possession of marijuana, as well as the items that had been reported stolen from vehicles, police said.

Fidelman has been charged with criminal possession of stolen property, a Class E felony, as well as criminal possession of stolen property and criminal possession of marijuana.

Fidelman was arraigned at the Town of Wappinger Court, and he was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond. His next appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, July 18.

The New York State Police were assisted by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and the Town of East Fishkill Police Department.
