James G. Skau, 70, Of Eastchester

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – James G. Skau, a resident of Eastchester, died Friday, June 10. He was 70.

Born Jan.10, 1946, in Manhattan, he was the son of L. Marie (Stockhouse) and George Skau.

He was a longtime resident of the Bronx, and lived 30 years in Eastchester with his wife Margaret MacNichol. His career branched into several governmental agencies, including the U.S. Treasury, Veterans Administration, New York State Department of Taxation, Department of Labor, Department of Motor Vehicles and the NYPD.

He graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx and attended Westchester Community College. During the 1960s, he formed and managed the band the DuCaines.

He is survived by his wife Margaret; brother George Skau and his wife Anne; nephews John and Peter Skau; niece Marianne Karam; and cousins Campbell Munn, Gina Davis, Robert Paradiso and Carolyn Paradiso, Carol Stohon, June Stone, Ronni Kelly, Eileen Mullane, Gordon Skau, Mary McAuley, Margaret Parente, Hank Shindle, Donald Skau and Robert Skau.

He was predeceased by his cousin Joan Paradiso.
