26-Year-Old Republican From Cresskill To Run For Bergen County Sherriff

CRESSKILL, N.J. -- A veteran law enforcement official from Cresskill has filed to run for Bergen County Sheriff as a republican, according to NorthJersey.com.

Manuel Alfonso, 47, will be the only Republican candidate running against incumbent Michael Saudino. He currently serves as the chief investigator for the New Jersey Department of Corrections, NorthJersey.com reported.
