Hosted by the Westchester County Board of Legislators and the Westchester Jewish Council, this year’s celebration will honor women in Westchester. Featured speakers will be Marcie Natan, national president of Hadassah and Marilyn Gottlieb, president of the Jewish Women’s Foundation of New York (JWFNY).

American Jewish History and Heritage Month is a month to celebrate the contributions Jewish Americans have made to America since they first arrived in New Amsterdam in 1654. Now in its 10th year, Jewish American History and Heritage Month is an opportunity to highlight the contributions of Jewish individuals and communities.

Hadassah, the Women's Zionist Organization of America, is a volunteer organization that inspires a passion for and commitment to its partnership with the land and people of Israel. It enhances the health of people worldwide through its support of medical care and research at the Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem.

The Jewish Women’s Foundation of New York imagines a world in which all women and girls in the Jewish community are ensured a healthy and supportive environment and a world of equal opportunity for economic, religious, social and political achievement.

The evening will begin with a meet and greet and light reception with the County Board of Legislators chaired by the Legislator Mike Kaplowitz at 6 p.m., followed by the ceremony and presentation of proclamations at 6:30 p.m.

The chairs of the event are Karen Everett of Larchmont, Betsy Landis of White Plains and Deborah Wiskind of Ardsley. This event is free and open to the community.
