Man Approached Girl In Car After School In Gloucester Township: Police

Police in Camden County are on the lookout for a suspicious man who approached a girl in his car while she was walking home from school.

On Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 11:45 a.m., police got a complaint about the man, Gloucester Township police said.

The girl was walking from Triton High School. She traveled down Evesham Road and the Black Horse Pike southbound towards Station Avenue. The juvenile turned right onto Station Avenue when a vehicle pulled next to her while she was on the sidewalk. The male asked the girl if she needed a ride. The vehicle then sped off down Station Avenue towards Deptford Township, police said.

The vehicle is described as a dark grey or black newer model Honda Ridgeline with a black tri-fold bed cover, black and silver wheels, rain guards on the windows, a silver roof rack, displaying an unknown registration. The suspect is described as an older white male wearing a pink or orange colored shirt.
