New Jersey local Chris Ventura and Martin Hadicke have opened Vagabond BBQ on Bridge Street, and are offering international dishes -- along with American barbecue.

"We were lucky to have had the opportunity to live and work in many different countries throughout the world," the owners wrote on their website.

"And when we weren’t working, we were out experiencing as much of the local food scene as we could.

"On our journey, we discovered a unique and simple characteristic that seems to tie so many cultures together, slow cooked meats or barbecue."

To the Venturas, barbecue represents a celebration of different flavors, and the opportunity to share a meal and connect, they said.

"We wanted to create a space where we could share that feeling every day," the website reads.

"And Vagabond BBQ was born."

Menu items include chili with cornbread, poutine fries, burgers, falafel, southern fried catfish, pork steak and more.
