WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. -- Fifth grade students at Westwood Regional School District’s Brookside Elementary School recently explored the night sky by day, thanks to an inflatable planetarium named Starlab.

The portable, visiting structure, which looks like a giant igloo, was set up in the gymnasium and enabled students and staff to see everything from constellations to the Milky Way.

“Starlab is a wonderful learning tool to help teach students about the world of astronomy,” Teacher Brian Adkins said in a statement.

The Westwood Regional School District is the only K-12 regional school district in Bergen County, serving approximately 2,750 students from the Borough of Westwood and the Township of Washington.
