Friends Of Karen Presents Comedy Night Benefit In White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- The Adina’s Angels Fund at Friends of Karen presents “A Night of Rockin’ Comedy” from 7:30-10:30 p.m. Friday at the Elmwood Country Club in White Plains.

The benefit will feature comedy and entertainment from NY NY Dueling Pianos. Tickets for the event include include dinner with wine or beer.

In 2010, Paula Berkowitz lost both of her children. The Adina’s Angels Fund at Friends of Karen Fund is named in named in memory of her daughter, Adina, who lost a four-year battle with leukemia at age 17. Adina's 20-year-old brother, Justin, died unexpectedly only two weeks before her.

Friends of Karen, based in North Salem, is a charity serving the tri-state area. Its mission is to provide emotional, financial and advocacy support to children battling cancer or another life-threatening illness and their families. Friends Of Karen helps free families of everyday needs and concerns, so they have more time to love.

“Friends of Karen was extremely supportive in every way,” said Berkowitz, “and I want to continue that for other people.”

The Adina's Angels Fund helps Friends Of Karen provide vital, practical and comprehensive support -- at no cost -- to families caring for a child battling cancer or another life-threatening illness. It particularly strengthens support for siblings coping with their brother's or sister's illness.
