From Friday, Sept. 11 to Sunday, Sept. 20, Hudson Valley bars, restaurants, and retailers will be showcasing Hudson Valley beers.

This event will feature 11 Hudson Valley restaurants partnering with a brewery and serving food that was prepared to pair with that brewery’s signature beer.

Tickets are $100 and 100% of the proceeds will be used to help fund 2016’s Hudson Valley Craft Beer Week.

Hudson Valley Craft Beer Week officially kicks off at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11 with each of the 11 breweries tapping their signature Hudson Valley Craft Beer Week in their own taprooms.

“Like Philadelphia and New York City before us, as a region becomes a destination for craft beer drinkers, it’s natural to create a week to celebrate that region’s beer,” said Aaron Pozit, Special Events & Taproom Manager for Hudson Valley-based Captain Lawrence Brewing Company in Elmsford.

“We had an opportunity to bring together 11 Hudson Valley breweries and create a series of events, and even a signature beer, to celebrate," Pozit said.

In addition to a series of events throughout the 10-day period, each of the 11 participating breweries also created a specialty Hudson Valley Craft Beer Week Beer.

“We take great pride in the local beer that is featured in our portfolio,” said Mike Naclerio, Craft Beer Specialist for Craft Beer Guild of New York, a New Paltz-based beer distribution company.

"The craft beer movement is largely based on people wanting to support local," said Joe Vicidomini, owner of ‘The Oath’ and ‘The Craftsman Ale House’. "As a distributor, it’s our job to ensure that local beer makes its way to the end consumer."
