RemoteLive technology will allow his piano performance to be recreated on Disklavier pianos in remote locations across the country, while the rock legend’s 70-piece orchestra is seen and heard on adjacent monitors through a live stream.
John will be onstage at Disneyland’s Hyperion Theater and is expected to take the stage around 1:20 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, according to the Yamaha website. It is Yamaha's first global live broadcast using its RemoteLive technology.
“Elton John is one of the most successful and influential music makers of our time, and Yamaha is thrilled to bring him to a global audience in this history making manner,” Chris Gero, vice president of Yamaha Entertainment Group of America, said in a statement.
Those interested in watching Elton John’s remote “live” concert from Faust Harrison Pianos on 214 Central Ave. may arrive at 11 p.m. for live entertainment and refreshments leading up to the main event. Call (914) 288-4003 for details.
