Muscoot Farm on Route 100 in Somers will host Basic Wood Carving from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participants can learn the basics of woodcarving. This event is for individuals ages 14 and up. The cost is $40 and pre-registration is required. Contact (914) 864-7282 for more information.
Growing Under Lights will teach you how to grow indoor plants using artificial lights. This event will take place at 2 p.m. at the Lasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial on Route 35 in Katonah. Bring your binoculars for the Evening Owl Prowl, where attendees can seek out the first breeding bird of the year--the Great Horned Owl. The event will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Marshlands Conservancy on Route 1 in Rye.
