Stratford Collecting Money, Items For Maria Victims In Puerto Rico

STRATFORD, Conn. -- The town of Stratford and the Stratford Hispanic Heritage Committee are hosting a town-wide relief fundraiser for Hurricane Maria victims through Saturday, Oct. 14.

The fundraiser will be seeking monetary donations throughout town. Those wishing to donate can bring their donations to the Red Cross tent located at Town Hall on Oct. 14.

There will be donation drop boxes at the following locations:

  • Town Hall - Town Clerks' office
  • Stratford Library
  • Sterling House
  • Stratford Police Department
  • Stratford Fire Department

Stratford Shotokan Karate is also collecting items that will be taken to Convoy of Hope. There will be two drop-off locations. For a list of specific items needed, visit www.stratfordshotokan.com/pr-relief-donation.

Donated items can be dropped off at Stratford Shotokan Karate, 190 Ferry Blvd., Stratford; or at Gafas, 919 Stratford Ave., Stratford.
