WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Expect an evening of back and forth conversation when Carol Burnett plays at Westchester County Center Friday, April 17, her first-ever Westchester appearance.
"This is a true question-and-answer event where the audience is my partner for the evening," said Burnett. "It is very much the same as the opening of my television show where I took unfiltered questions on the spot. Nothing sanitized and nothing rehearsed. Bring it on!"
And, if you've never seen "The Carol Burnett Show," no worries.
"I speak in plain English," she said.
On a more serious note, the famous comedienne said she's actually surprised by the amount of young people who have sourced sketches on YouTube and other websites and are familiar with her work and the shows/movies she's been a part of.
As for her County Center appearance, she said there will be lots of memorable sketches from "The Carol Burnett Show" along with the entire ensemble of "the very funny and talented people on the show."
"Bring lots of questions," she added. "Don’t be shy. Participate. Be my partner in a fun evening."
The show is at 8 p.m. Go here for tickets.
