WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Thousands of kids turned out to Big Truck Day in White Plains and got the chance to ride in a police car and get a view of the city's heavily armored emergency response vehicle on Saturday, May 17, according to News 12 Westchester.

Photo Credit: FileKids also had the chance to spray a fire hose and sit behind the wheel of a Department of Public Works truck. The event was such a success, Mayor Tom Roach said he hopes to hold the event next year, News 12 Westchester said.
