WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — The White Plains Public Library announced the local launch of hoopla digital, a nationwide service that allows library card holders to enjoy on-demand content from their smartphones, tablets, PCs and Apple TV.
The service has partnerships with major Hollywood studios, publishers and record companies like Universal Pictures, MGM, National Geographic and BBC Worldwide.
The available titles include “The King’s Speech” and “Scarface,” and albums from artists such as Nick Jonas, Mary J. Blige and Iggy Azalea.
Hoopla access includes an automatic return feature, which eliminates late fees.
The service is now available in 25 library systems across the state, including nearby libraries in Kent and Somers.
