The Croton-based home improvement contractor posted on Facebook on Thursday that it has been selected to work with "The Property Brothers," a popular television show on HGTV. Mark Franzoso, the company president, said in a phone interview he could not provide any more details.
“It will be on television in about 6-8 months,’’ Franzoso said. “There’s not a lot more I can tell you right now.”
While Franzoso did not reveal where the project is located or what it entails, the Facebook post said it is in Westchester County. Franzoso said a representative from the show contacted him about working with "The Property Brothers" team.
“They called me out of the blue and asked if I wanted to participate with them,’’ Franzoso said. “They looked me up and my model fit what they’re looking for. I thought it would be fun. They seem like nice guys.”
Franzoso also said the crew has not been selected for the project. “We haven’t picked the team that will represent us,’’ Franzoso said. “The inside staff is excited. We just got the green light on Thursday to put it on our Facebook page.”
"The Property Brothers" is a reality television series hosted by twin brothers Jonathan and Drew Scott. They help home buyers purchase and renovate homes. The first show televised in April 2011.
