He represents the third generation of Meccias at the agency, as his father Ken is Statewide's president and his uncle and grandfather previously worked there.

“I grew up hearing discussions about title insurance at the dinner table. Those conversations centered around technical issues, problem solving and customer service and so it seemed like a natural transition since I already had a broad understanding of the industry,” the younger Meccia said in a statement.

Meccia will be part of a five-man team led by senior vice-president Rick Krasner, a 23-year veteran of the agency. Meccia graduated from Lincoln College, and previously worked at the Honda dealership in White Plains.

He is a member of the Young Mortgage Bankers Association, with plans to join the White Plains Bar and Banker’s Associations.

The agency specializes in providing insurance to both commercial and residential real estate in the area, and has done so for more than 35 years.

Branches are located at 202 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains, and at Rockefeller Plaza in Manhattan.

More information can be found at the agency's website, www.statewidea.com, or by calling either (914) 683-5900 or (212) 742-2880.
