New White Plains Assisted Living Facility Names Executive Director

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – Halina McLean has been appointed executive director of The Bristal at White Plains, a new assisted living community that offers memory care support and enhanced levels of care. Before joining The Bristal, McLean served as administrator at Mount Alverno Center in Warwick. She also held the administrator position at the Elant Inc. Senior Health and Housing Center in Goshen and also worked there as director of placement management.

McLean also served as assistant admissions assessor/managed care nurse at Valley View Rehab Center in Goshen. In her current role at The Bristal, she will be responsible for overseeing operations of the 148-bed assisted living community. The Bristal at White Plains is at 305 N. White St. It features 116 residences -- 73 studios, 41 one-bedroom units and two two-bedroom suites. There are also 32 apartments dedicated for residents who require memory care.

Features at The Bristal include a full-scale wellness program, onsite doctor visits, medication supervision, bathing and dressing assistance and a RN/LPN on duty. Luxury amenities include an elegant lobby, fine dining room, private dining room, cinema, fitness center, salon, arts and crafts studio, card and game room, bingo center, library, business center, wellness center, heated outdoor pool and putting green.

The Bristal at White Plains represents the first entry into Westchester County by developer Engel Burman Group, which has been delivering exceptional assisted living for more than a decade on Long Island.
