The new center is on Tarrytown Road in White Plains, across from Crossroads Shopping Center, and is founded by a team of emergency medicine physicians who serve on the faculty of Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
All patients, from adults to pediatrics, are seen by board-certified, residency-trained, emergency medicine physicians. A full laboratory and digital X-ray capabilities are on-site, and appointments are never necessary. Hours are 8 a.m.-8 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m.-7 p.m. weekends and holidays. “We saw a real need in the White Plains community for a high-quality urgent care medical facility that can accommodate patients with emergencies who did not want to wait in a busy, noisy and crowded hospital emergency room,” said Dr. Jason Lupow, MDxpress founding physician.

MDxpress also eliminates the difficulty of trying to see a primary care doctor on short notice or after hours. Whether it is mending a cut that needs suturing, repairing a broken bone that needs setting or treating a throat that needs strep testing, MDxpress will see patients quicker and more comfortably than in a hospital emergency room and at a far more affordable cost.” MDxpress opened its first facility on West Boston Post Road in Mamaroneck in March 2013. Both facilities take most major medical insurances, including workers' compensation and Medicare. Patients without insurance are seen at a fraction of the cost of a hospital visit.
