MarkNet, a digital marketing and web design company that has produced more than 700 websites and digital marketing campaigns since its inception 16 years ago, is growing rapidly. MarkNet's client base has expanded to include clients across the country, many with a global reach and interest. The breadth of this work has led to the hiring of additional designers and digital strategists.

DeSanto’s newly created position comes on the heels of that recent success and growth, which founder and Chief Executive Officer Gina Nieves attributes to MarkNet’s dedication to integrity, personal attention and its result-driven approach to business.

“We knew MarkNet needed a Project Manager and Staff Writer with a broad range of creative, strategic and analytical skills, who could assist us in driving the business forward with energy, vision and passion,” said Nieves. “The project manager role will be critical to our continued growth and requires an individual who engages our clients, can juggle multiple projects, has an eye for detail and design, and possesses strong skills in the areas of copywriting and staff manage- ment. This wasn’t an easy role to fill. After meeting with a number of exceptional candidates, my staff members all felt very confident that LisaMarie was a perfect fit for our team.”

A communications specialist with a background in publishing and the arts, DeSanto was originally hesitant to leave her position at ArtsWestchester in White Plains, which is New York State’s largest arts council, because she deeply believed in their cause.

Pursued for months by Nieves before finally tendering her resignation in early July of this year, the writer and designer who built a career on editing and project management will now manage MarkNet’s growing staff while lending her expertise to companies with products and services ranging from financial to consumer goods and e-commerce stores.
