WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – The intellectual property law firm Leason Ellis LLP recently added two new attorneys to its White Plains office.
Lori Cooper and Matthew Kaufman will work with clients on issues related to patent and trademark laws.
“Matt and Lori offer vast intellectual property (IP) experience and a deep-seated, client-centered philosophy fundamental to our firm,” David Leason, Leason Ellis co-founder and managing partner said in a press release.
"Their contributions will enrich our ability to provide the best IP counsel to our clients.”
Cooper, a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law, has represented clients before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
While in law school, Cooper worked as a student associate for the Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Law Clinic and earned the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Patent Litigation.
Kaufman has extensive experience in multiple aspects of patent acquisition. He was part of the litigation team that successfully enforced check-imaging patents against the national banking industry in DataTreasury Corp. v. Bank of America Corp., et al.
